Customize Your User-Account Settings You may modify certain settings to control your viewing and working environment within Chrome River. Note that your organization's configuration determines which of the following settings you will be able to access. Click your name in the top right corner of the app, then click ACCOUNT SETTINGS. Personal Settings Account Information Click CHANGE PASSWORD to reset your password. You may choose a password up to 20 characters in length. Email Addresses The primary email address associated with your Chrome River account is displayed. If your organization has enabled the feature, click ADD ALTERNATIVE EMAILS to enter additional email addresses from which you wish to submit receipts and approvals. This allows you to send emails from non-company email accounts, streamlining the process for those use personal mobile devices. Click OK on the email verification message. Leave Chrome River open in your browser. When you receive the verification email, click on the link it contains. If your organization has enabled this setting, you may also use your alternative emails to approve expenses and/or invoices. Bank Account – Reimbursements If your organization uses Chrome River's DIRECT PAY for reimbursements, this is where you will set up the external bank account in which you wish to be reimbursed. For complete details, see Manage Your Expense-Reimbursement Bank Account. Preferences Settings Here you may customize how certain information appears for you in the Chrome River user interface. Click the pencil icon to the right of the setting you wish to change. You may need to log out and back in to Chrome River to see certain changes take effect. Language: Select the language in which screen objects (buttons, labels, instructions, etc.) will appear. If your organization has activated language compliance for PDF reports and email notifications, this menu will change the language in which they are displayed as well. Date Format: Choose between two date formats – MM/DD/YYYY (e.g., 10/20/2020 for October 20, 2020) or DD/MM/YYY (e.g., 20/10/2020 for October 20, 2020). Number Format: Choose between two currency formats – ###,###.00 (e.g., $123,456.78) or ###.###,00 (e.g., $123.456,78). Mileage Deduction: You can automatically deduct the miles or amount of your standard commute in the Mileage entry screen by entering them here. Copy Expense Attributes: If you select YES, any line item you add on an expense report will automatically populate with the business purpose and other header data from the previous line item added. Delegate Settings Delegation allows users to create and/or approve expense reports or invoices for each other. See Authorize or Work as a Delegate for complete details. Notification Settings Chrome River users can opt into or out of company-specific Chrome River email and Slack notifications via this tab. You may subscribe to any notification by checking the check box next to it. To unsubscribe, uncheck the check box. American Express & Other Real-Time Notifications Chrome River offers customers Real-Time Notifications that alert credit card users via email or SMS (text) when transactions are made using their corporate American Express or other credit cards. The notification contains a link that allows users to upload an image corresponding to the expense, and that image is then automatically merged with the appropriate credit card transaction once it is received by Chrome River. If your organization uses this feature, you will see American Express and/or Real-Time Notifications options under Notification Settings. 1. Click to select either email or text notifications. 2.
