Manage Display Language and Terminology

Chrome River's language compliance capabilities offer the flexibility to display the online and mobile applications, as well as certain email notifications, in multiple languages and tailor terminology to your industry. Chrome River currently supports the following languages:

Changing the Display Language

Administrators control the language of Chrome River's online and mobile applications for each user via the People Configuration screen. Once the user's preferred language has been selected there, the Chrome River application will automatically display in that language the next time the user logs in.

Changing Terminology in the Application

Terminology or text used in an area of the interface may be edited via the Messages admin screen. See "Add New Language Options to User Interface" in the Messages Admin Screen article for more details.

Changing the Language for Email Notifications

The following emails are currently available in a language compliant version:

  • Expense Approval
  • Expense Return
  • Expense Adjust
  • Pre-Approval Approval
  • Pre-Approval Complete
  • Pre-Approval Return

Activating language compliance for one type of notification activates it for all the notifications in the list. However, if your organization uses a custom email template, language compliance is not available. To activate, submit a request to the Chrome River Help Desk.
