Release Notes: October 22, 2025

This release focuses on improving the expense entry experience through cleaner visuals, smarter automation, and more consistent receipt handling. Together, these updates make expense submission faster, more intuitive, and more accurate for all Enterprise users.

EXPENSE ENTRY

Updated Expense Type Mosaic Icons

Expense Type search now features redesigned mosaic icons that bring a more cohesive and modern look to the Emburse Enterprise experience. The updated icons use a larger, high resolution color format that aligns with the visual style used throughout the rest of the application. These enhancements improve clarity and accessibility across both desktop and mobile devices while ensuring the icon set is ready for future high resolution display standards.

Rollout Schedule: The refreshed designs are now available in the UAT environment, giving customers the opportunity to preview and familiarize themselves with the new visuals before the Production rollout. The new icon set will be deployed to all Production environments in approximately two weeks.

Expanded AI Receipt-Data Capture

Emburse Enterprise now uses enhanced, AI-powered receipt capture to automatically populate additional expense fields, further reducing manual entry and improving accuracy. When users upload a receipt, the system instantly extracts structured data and fills available fields—speeding up submissions and increasing data consistency across reports.

This update introduces AI-based autofill for tip amount, merchant location (country, state, city), VAT registration number, and alcohol total. Additional fields, including airfare and car rental details, will be added in an upcoming release.

IMAGING

Enhanced Handling of Multipage Image-Based PDF Receipts

Emburse Enterprise now processes image-based PDF receipts more intelligently. When users add a multipage image-based PDF to the eWallet—whether by email or upload—the file will no longer be split into separate receipts. Each multi-page PDF is now treated as one complete receipt.

Single-page image-based PDFs will still be cropped into individual receipts when multiple receipts appear on the same page. Text-based PDFs are unaffected by this change and will never be split or cropped.

This improvement simplifies receipt management and ensures more predictable handling of uploaded PDFs across the platform.

Availability: The update is automatically available to all customers now.
