ADMIN

Introducing On-Demand Virtual Card Issuance

Beta program release: Contact your CSM, ESA, or Account Representative to opt in to the program.

Customers can now issue virtual cards on-demand from participating financial institutions in Emburse Enterprise, extending their existing relationship while reducing fraud, improving compliance, and streamlining reconciliation. Cards can be issued through both pre-approval and on-demand workflows. Administrators with the Connect Card Programs permission can begin enrollment for virtual card issuance enrollment process by navigating to Admin Settings → Transactions → Card Programs → Add Card Program.

Once your organization has enrolled, admins with the Show Card Issuance Button permission enabled in Access Permissions will see an Issue New Card button on in the Card Programs admin screen.

See Enroll in the Participating Financial Institution Virtual Card Program with Emburse Enterprise for complete details.

Cardholder Records

Participating financial institutions require certain personal information from both the users who issue virtual cards and the users who eventually receive virtual cards. If the institution does not already have the information needed to create this cardholder record, Emburse Enterprise will prompt the user to provide such personal information as address, date of birth, and phone number before a card can be issued.

See Get Started with Card Issuance in Emburse Enterprise for complete details.

On-Demand Card Issuance

Admins can now take advantage of on-demand card issuance in Emburse Enterprise, giving employees faster access to cards. From Transactions → Card Programs → Issue New Card, administrators can issue tightly controlled virtual cards directly from Enterprise without the requirement for a pre-approval request.

Upon card issuance, administrators can view, edit, or cancel participating financial institution virtual cards individually through the Details view found via Admin Settings → Transactions → Card Programs → Selected Card Program → Selected Virtual Card. Individual cardholders will have a similar detail view in their eWallet but will not have the same edit/cancel capabilities as administrators.

See Issue and Manage Participating Financial Institution Virtual Cards for complete details.

Pre-Approval Issuance Flow

Customers with the Pre-Approval module will also have the option to turn on card requests upon enrolling in virtual card issuance with a participating financial institution. Once your organization has enrolled, users will be able to select the funding method for their pre-approval and select the enrolled account.

Similar to the on-demand flow, if a cardholder record does not exist for the user requesting a card, the pre-approval form will require the user to enter personal information before finalizing the request.

EXPENSE

Enhanced Bulk Editor for Expense

We have enhanced the Bulk Editor feature that allows users to update allocations on multiple line items simultaneously. Now, users may also bulk-edit the Description, Business Purpose and any user-defined fields (UDAs) as long as those fields are visible and editable on the expense-entry form and are found on all the line items selected.

As part of this enhancement, we have replaced the Edit Allocation button with an Edit Items button and enabled customers to self-activate this feature via the Customer Prferences admin screen.

If your organization does not already have Bulk Edit enabled, see “Enable Bulk Editing of Line Items” in the Customer Preferences Admin Screen help center article for details on activation. And for complete details on the feature, see “Edit or Bulk Edit Expenses” in Create an Expense Report.

Emburse Digital Receipt Archiving Support for Hungary

For customers who would like to go paperless in compliance with Hungarian regulations on digital receipts, we now offer the ability to capture receipts in Emburse Enterprise that will be compliant with Hungary’s digitization and archiving regulations. This eliminates the need to keep a hard copy of the receipt for tax or other purposes. For complete details, see Emburse Digital Archiving Service for Receipts. If you are interested in taking advantage of this feature, contact your Emburse Enterprise CSM, ESA, or Account Representative.

Branding Update for Email Notifications

As part of our ongoing rebranding efforts, we have been gradually updating email content to reflect the Emburse Enterprise brand. This release extends those changes to more of our most commonly used emails. Changes include replacing “Chrome River” with “Emburse Enterprise” in the email title and content for both HTML- and text-formatted notifications, updating the color scheme of each email to reflect Emburse’s new color palette, replacing the Chrome River logo with the Emburse Enterprise logo, and replacing Chrome River text labels with Emburse Enterprise text labels.

EMBURSE ANALYTICS

Introducing Favorites for Reports and Dashboards

We have introduced a new Favorites feature for Enteprise users of Emburse Analytics that lets you quickly access the reports and dashboards you use most often. This may reduce the need to search or navigate multiple folders, so you can get to insights faster and stay focused on the metrics that matter most to you.

All your favorites are available on a new Favorites page, accessible from the main menu.

You can flag a dashboard or a report as a favorite in a number of ways:

  • Select the heart button next to the dashboard or report inside a folder.
  • Select Add Favorite from the action menu next to the dashboard or report inside a folder.
  • Creator users may also select the heart button next to the content title when viewing a dashboard or report.

Your favorites are unique to you. Flagging or unflagging content as a favorite will have no impact of other Analytics users.

See When Your Data Was Last Updated

All Emburse Analytics dashboards now display a Last Data Refresh timestamp in the bottom left corner that shows the exact time when data was last updated from the Emburse Enterprise application.

What This Means for You

  • You always know how current your data is before making decisions.
  • During critical periods like month-end close, you can quickly confirm whether the latest transactions are included.
  • You can better plan your work by estimating when the next refresh will occur.

The timestamp can also be added to any new or existing report. When editing a report, Creator users will see a field folder called Sync Time. Adding the Last Sync Date Time field will give you the timestamp showing when the data was last refreshed.

Faster Enterprise Data Refresh in Emburse Analytics

Your Enterprise app data in Emburse Analytics is now updated every 30 minutes, twice as often as before, helping you work with greater accuracy and efficiency by reducing the lag between activity in Enterprise app and visibility in Emburse Analytics.

What This Means for You

  • You get more up-to-date information throughout the day.
  • During time-sensitive activities like month-end close, you can rely on fresher data to speed up reconciliations and approvals.
  • When validating exports or running checks on recent transactions, you will see the latest activity reflected sooner.

Known Issue

EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS

Comments Not Captured for Invoice Approval via Email

We are aware of an issue where replies to approval emails save the subject line as the approval note instead of capturing the text in the body of the reply.

Impact: Approval comments submitted via email are not appearing as intended.

Workaround: Approvers can enter comments directly in the application until the fix is deployed.

Resolution Plan: Our engineering team has developed a fix and is working to deploy it as a top priority. We expect this to be resolved shortly.
