Release Notes: March 5, 2025

Note: We may roll out certain changes iteratively through our customer base. As a result, you may experience a few days’ delay (no more than one week) before you see new functionality in your Production environment.

Upcoming Changes

90-Day Password Reset Cycle

Beginning in April, Emburse Enterprise will introduce a requirement for users to change their passwords every 90 days in order to meet evolving security standards and the latest PCI compliance guidelines. This will affect all customers whose users log in with a username, password, and company ID, but no changes will be required to any customized Password Compliance rules. Customers who use SSO will not be affected by this enhancement.

Once this change takes effect, users will receive notifications via email and in-app pop-ups that inform them when it is time to reset their password. Users will lose access to Emburse Enterprise if they do not reset their password after 90 days, but this will not result in any data loss. Access will be restored once the password has been reset.

EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS

Updated Email Notification Colors and Logo

As part of our Emburse Enterprise rebranding, we will be updating the colors and replacing the logos on all email notifications in stages over the next few weeks.

Enhancements to Emburse Connect for Analytics

For customers who subscribe to Emburse Connect for Analytics (also known as “Snowflake Read/Snowflake Share”), we are making infrastructure improvements to support more frequent data syncing. These changes may impact how you access data from Emburse Connect.

What Is Changing?

  • We are updating our data storage system. As a result, the earliest available _EMBURSE_UPDATEDATE will be reset to a more recent date.
  • Historical records marked as _EMBURSE_DELETED = true will no longer be accessible.
  • If you filter data using _EMBURSE_UPDATEDATE, you may need to adjust your start timestamp by one hour earlier to ensure you capture all updates.
  • The sync frequency will remain hourly, but the exact sync times may shift.
  • We are rebuilding all views within Emburse Connect, which will update their creation dates. However, column formats and order will stay the same.

Faster Data Processing

We have also improved processing speed for certain transformed data views. These updates now run as soon as transaction data is available, reducing processing time from over an hour to just 30 minutes. If you have any questions, please reach out to Support.

Enhancements

ADMIN HELP DESK SUPPORT

Mark Support Tickets As Solved

It is now possible for customers to mark their own support tickets as solved, rather than contacting Support or waiting for tickets to automatically close. This feature works for tickets of any status except New.

When you are signed in to the Emburse Enterprise Help Center, click your name in the upper right corner and select Requests. Click on the ticket in the My Requests list, scroll to the bottom, and click Mark As Solved.

For complete details on creating and managing Support tickets, see How to Create a Support Ticket in the Emburse Enterprise Help Center.

DIRECT PAY

Bank Account Details Now Displayed During Editing

For customers who use Direct Pay, Emburse Enterprise will now display users’ existing bank account details when they select a bank account for editing. This will allow users to update only the information that needs adjustment without having to re-enter all required banking details. Note that sensitive account number information will be masked.

New Default Format for Downloading Reports

To simplify the process of downloading report results, we have changed the default download format to Excel (XLSX), which is the most used download format by a significant margin. Users may still select other download formats if desired.

Introducing the Credit Card Reconciliation Standard Dashboard

We have introduced a new Credit Card Reconciliation standard dashboard to enable admins to track details related to corporate card expenses to easily reconcile monthly statements from credit card providers. The dashboard shows summary information by status of the credit card charges, by age of the transaction, and by expense type. The list of detailed transactions is also available on the dashboard to simplify the process for downloading the results. If your company has multiple card programs, you may use the filter to select a specific card type and statement date. The Expense Approval dashboard can be found in the following folder: All / Emburse Analytics / Expense Enterprise.

With a series of filters, you can adjust the timeframe for analysis and drill down to specific approvers and/or expense owners. The dashboard can be found in the following folder: All / Emburse Analytics / Expense Enterprise.
