Emburse Enterprise Mobile App FAQ

US-based Emburse Expense Enterprise users may use the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app to effortlessly create expenses. Users simply take a photo of each receipt with their smartphones and, with just a few taps, upload them to Emburse Enterprise to have expenses automatically created and categorized. Receipts are then accessible at any time, on any device.

To get started, users may navigate to the US Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search for “Emburse Enterprise.” Complete details on installing and using the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app may be found in the Emburse Enterprise Mobile Help Center.

Who is the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app available to?

The Emburse Enterprise Mobile app is currently available for Emburse Expense Enterprise customers based in the United States. Eventually, the app will be available to Emburse Expense Enterprise customers everywhere, but it is currently only available in the US Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Is the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app available in additional languages?

Yes. The Emburse Enterprise Mobile app will default to the language of your iOS or Android device as long as the language is supported by Emburse Enterprise. Otherwise, the app will default to American English.

Can my organization use the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app?

The Emburse Enterprise Mobile app is currently available for Emburse Enterprise Expense customers based in the United States.

Can users at my organization use both the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app and the CR SNAP app at the same time?

Yes. Now that the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app is available, US-based users at your organization can use either the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app or the CR SNAP app.

We recommend that you have any new US-based employees download the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app once they’re set up in Emburse Enterprise and that you encourage all existing US-based users to start using the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app instead of the CR SNAP app, but it is not necessary for all users to switch over simultaneously.

Why should my organization transition from the CR SNAP app to the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app?

The new Emburse Enterprise Mobile app has all the same features as CR SNAP and more! It will also be the foundation for all of our future mobile innovations, so stay tuned for additional functionality to further simplify the user experience.

Here are all the features currently available:

  • Receipt Capture: Easily capture receipts in the moment.
  • OCR: Extract expense details automatically.
  • Cloud Wallet: Track and manage your receipts on any device.
  • Real-Time Alerts: Messaging from anywhere.
  • Digital Archiving: Digitize receipts in compliance with country-specific requirements.
  • Multilingual Interface: Available in 35 languages.

When will users outside of the US have access to the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app?

We want to ensure that all users will have an exceptional experience before we make the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app available to them.

Our development team is currently hard at work integrating our OCR technology into the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app for our supported languages other than English. We expect that the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app will be available to all Emburse Expense Enterprise users later this year.

Is the CR SNAP app going away?

We plan to begin transition efforts later in 2025 to give you adequate time to complete the transition before we deprecate CR SNAP.

Is the Chrome River mobile app going away?

Not in the near term. We are currently building report creation, submission, and approval functionalities into the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app that will eventually replace the Chrome River app. Until these features are available, the Chrome River app will remain available in the app store (at least through 2025). We will ensure all customers are given ample opportunity to transition to the new Emburse Enterprise Mobile app before any legacy apps are removed from the app stores.

How much does the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app cost?

The Emburse Enterprise Mobile app is included in your Emburse Expense Enterprise subscription. There is no additional charge for the app.

Why can’t users at my organization log in to the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app?

If your users do not have company-provided mobile devices and your organization does not allow users to log in via SSO on their personal devices, they will not be able to use the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app.

If users are reporting that they cannot log in to your organization’s SSO on their personal devices, consider contacting your IT department to discuss changing your SSO setup to allow your users to access the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app on their personal devices.

Additionally, your users may not be able to log in to the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app if your mobile SSO configuration is not properly set up. If users are getting an error message in the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app indicating that SSO configuration issues are preventing login, please contact Support.

Why isn’t OCR working for some non-English receipts?

Our development team is currently hard at work integrating our OCR technology into the Emburse Enterprise Mobile app for our supported languages other than English. In the meantime, you may find errors in some OCR processing that could result in missing or incorrect Vendor, Amount, or Date fields.
